I love my 3.5 TT ecoboost. Not one issue

I also loved my 6.0 diesel. I did proactively fix some known issues with updated Ford parts, but it's been a solid truck. It is such a smooth running machine, plus it's the best sounding diesel made.

I guess I love to take the bad, do common sense maintenance, then show the negative Nancie's how's it's done.

I drive a Ram Cummins Turbo Diesel (CTD) and I'm thinking about a 3.5L EcoBeast. I don't drive a Ford.

My brother owned an auto repair shop for years and my buddy is a diesel mechanic.

I would not buy a 5.4L truck unless the price was right. It's the cam phasers you have to worry about. The 6.8L was used mostly in RV's but was prone to spitting spark plugs because of not enough threads in the head. Gotta torque them down to the required spec routinely and they'll be okay

I have seen 500,000 miles on the 4.6L in Crown Vics and Mercury Marquis. Taxi Cabs mostly. They're worth their weight in gold anymore, if you can even find one. The 3.5L EcoBeast was put through a torture test that I don't believe any other engine could survive.

The Coyote V8 is the best V8 on the market today. Period. The 2.7L EB is as good as it gets. CGI block, It does have problems with its plastic oil pan. At least Ford is trying something new while generic motors is still stuck in 1930's technology. Which is good. Every time they try something new, they screw it up

Yeah, they've all made some bad engines but nobody, and I mean nobody, has made as many stinkers as gm. The V8-6-4, the oldsmoble diesel, etc.

They make decent motors these days as long as you're okay with less power for the money. Don't know much about the 6.6L but it looks impressive. The 6.4L Hemi was built from the ground up to be a truck motor.

The 6.2L Ford had the 6.0L Vortec beat in every measurable. My 5.0L Coyote mad as much HP and Torque with less CID and better fuel economy. But there are those who will stick totheir brand no matter what.

Not me. Not for a long time.

Research it.
