TO30 Assist

I am going to try to restore a Harry Ferguson Tractor. I believe they were made up to 1951, but I am unsure. It was my wife's father, and he passed away in 2020. I wanted to restore it for her.

I called yesterday's Tractor company and gave him the Serial on the tag, TO-127576. He told me it was a TO30 but couldn't tell me the year. I googled the Tractor, and I see them all grey, including some that have a blend of Massey Red, Grey, and black. Can anyone tell me the year? I also see a number on the engine, but I will need to get it here to my shop to clean it up to read it. I'll post the pictures I took, and any assistance would be

My book says it is a 1954.

Tractor Serial Number Reference Manual from Jensales INC. They would include this manual every time you purchased a manual from them. I haven't bought a manual lately from them so I don't know if they still do that.

Harry Ferguson was a genius that definitely had major impacts on the tractor business !!!

Harry Ferguson TO30 operators manual
I owned one for about 20 years. Mine had a option for live PTO. It was a hand clutch out of left side of transmission, with a 8" clutch disc in the output side of the power to rear wheels.
It got busy when reaching the end of a row, lifting the bush hog while stopping and turning left or right. One needed 3 hands.

10-4. I'm going to try to get it this weekend. I am sure I will have a lot of questions. I'll post pictures as I go. All four tires are flat. I hope they'll hold enough air to get on the trailer.

I love working on these old things and bringing them back to life; especially this one since it's a tribute to her dad. He left us too soon . I am also working on an F250 from 1985 that has a 6.9 IDI in it.
