Buy a good quality Cannon camera. Should last you many years.
Nikon is the best by far.
I would be lost without my cellphone and internet connection, B.S. can be undermined rather quickly with a good browser and internet connection, as well as the wealth of info at your fingertips.
Nothing like stopping a whopper of a lie in mid stream. :)
To the OP -- Got pencil and paper? You can draw us a picture. Accuracy doesn't count. If you don't have a pencil charcoal works.
If not you can ask this guy -- http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/yanmar/168566-yanmar-drawings.html :D
If yours is like mine she will loose interest in it quickly, so don't worry.

Nikon? Meh...
I have used Cannon, Minolta, and Nikon, Nikon always does the best in most shots, Nikon is far superior in Macro shots (extreme closeups).
Cannon's are good, so are Minolta's, but so is Nikon, can't go wrong with any of them.
