They just showed on the news that "adjusted for inflation" gas is cheaper now than in the late 60s when it was under $0.40/ gallon. Crazy.

I for one am not complaining...recently here gas was down to $161.9 per gallon. One of my recollections of my high school days was pumping gas at my part time job and delivering full service at 27.9 cents a gtallon.

I was guessing either that or close to it but was too lazy to look it up. Had a discussion this morning at breakfast and someone quoted gas prices back when. I pointed out that the wages back then were also pretty low - end of discussion.

I was paying down in the teens in Texas, late 50s or early 60s and that may have been a price war.

I'm fine with cost of gasoline today, but not at $4 as it was a few years ago, or even $3.50. Our economy won't grow under the weight, because when gasoline is that expensive, all energy prices are high, driving up virtually every commodity.

It's funny that all lot of things that had prices raised for high fuel costs have not come back down. Never will and will probably rise again during the next round of high gas prices.

250HP? I think that's what my starter is rated for on my BBC.
I've never driven anything that had too much horsepower.
I want more HP for my tractor, my truck, my other truck, my lawn tractor, my ZTR, my weed eater, my chain saw, my generator, my other generator, my other chain saw, my golf cart, my leaf blower...
My wife drives a Hemi and she wants more HP too.
