TODAYS SEAT TIME

I took delivery of my Mahindra eMax22 with front end loader today. I tried it out digging gravel out of my pile and distributing it on the floor of my pole barn, I got a lot done...much better than my previous method of scoop shovel to dump cart, then dumped in the barn.
It sure helps to have the right equipment to do the job!

Congratulations! That tractor should do a lot of work for you. I'm surprised that you found time to get off it and post here.
YAY!!! Congratulations.. and welcome to the forum!!

What he said. If I may point out though, if there are no pictures then it never happened!! Include a pic of your Massey also if you would, some of us really appreciate that old iron.

Several hours getting the yard going/finished. Placed several big rocks around the yard. Here is one of them.

Also FINALLY got my hooks welded on.

The trees are coming, my kids and grandkids will really enjoy them.

Rick, I love the PTB. I wish I had gotten it sooner.

Nice job Cat, you provided the solution to something that's bothering me.
Have the same hooks, similar new bucket and nervous about welding onto bucket much less
ripping hooks from not so heavyweight bucket. Solution? Reinforcing, and that's what I'll do.

Glad I could help.:) The welder is the one who suggested the plate for strength, I was asking about it though.

Gordon,
When it's all done I'll take some pictures of all of it. My wife is the one who the rocks speak too.

Got a lot of work done today. Here is the tried and true Ferguson 35 built in 1955. Live power and hydraulics, power adjust wheels, I bought it in1980, a lot of surface rust and a dent in the front of the hood. Banged the dent out, sanded and painted, cleaned up the hydraulics, changed fluids etc.
Also showing off the Mahindra, the new kid on the place. I had methanol put in the rear tires for ballast, it does a very good job despite its small size.

Nice looking pair of tractors. For some reason my first thought was that of a grandfather (or great grandfather) looking on as the torch gets passed.

Methanol for ballast? Haven't heard that one before. Don't use it to work on a burn pile I think!:D

I spent the day moving a burn pile down to the end of one of my fields, piling it in a berm for a backstop for a 300 yard shooting range I'm setting up.

(And still nothing I do will make the pics come out right side up! All pics were taken with my cellphone in the upright position and are upright everywhere but here! Grrr)

Old grandpa won't get to retire yet, I thought about putting a loader on him, but gave him a break and went for the small maneuverable guy. He will have plenty of work yet, handling the 5 ft. Ford rotary mower other stuff a bit too big for junior.

^^^^
I've been planning to bring my father's TO35 home to take over plowing and disking my garden, mowing the field, and a few other duties.
I won't do it though until I get a shelter built. My Kubota can sit outside, but the older iron has been inside for most of it's life and I don't plan to change that.

Basically Winter grade washer fluid, not too flammable, just enough alcohol to prevent freezing, beats the heck out of the old corrosive calcium chloride. I guess a lot of people use beet juice.

Ahhh, that might have some ethanol in it, but not straight methanol in the tires. I use winter grade washer fluid in my sawmill for lube in the winter.

I bought my house and acreage in '76, but waited until '80 to get a tractor until I built a barn. I don't like to see tractors out in the weather.

Thanks so much, I've been very blessed. I worked for Ford for over 32 years, bought a few new cars through the years, but this is my first new tractor (not counting lawn tractors).
