I'm still on the job mowing fields, around tree's and mowing everywhere else in sight.

In fact, this job is going to go on so long, I decided to set up camp, so I can take breaks and rest as much as I want, lol

There are even fields of ferns to mow,

Here's how much fuel I burned in 10.3 hours of mowing heavy grass with some hills,

and that was off road nontaxed red fuel!

SR

Off-road fuel here has went up to as much or even more than road fuel here especially if you are buying less than 25 gallons and don’t have a farm card. Off road fuel without a farm card is still subject to sales tax.

Ouch!
My first thought was "117 Gallons! Wow, that burns a lot of fuel!" Then I realized I was looking at the price. :D
Yet I still say "Ouch!" at least you can pass it on to the customer.

Got 127 tons of 2" crusher run spread out. Next I'll have to level it off with the box blade but that may be a few days out since it's hay time.

I've been busy with other matters, no seat time in over a week. I'll get back so it shortly. Zero Turn is almost ready as well.

I hooked up the old IH 111 tonight and started mowing. Things were going great until I hit a high spot and killed the engine. After shutting off the PTO I hit the starter and got RAH-Rah-rah. Hit it again and got the same thing. After a few tries I decided I was paunched... I'm due for a battery but had hoped to make it through the summer. I could boost it but don't feel like messing with it... just swapping for a new one is easier in the long run.
