You need to pay attention to the horsepower rating of the tractor and the lifting capacity of the 3ph. The requirements are listed on the Value Leader website. I am not familiar with the 2230. The 2660 handles the weight fairly easily, but operation moving across a slope can be tricky. I do not mow or do anything that requires a lot of mobility while carrying the backhoe.
As far a fragile goes, I would say it is not fragile, but at the same time, as I stated in my post, it is not the best piece of equipment as far as being well-made. I have had some minor problems that you would expect with something like this, but nothing serious yet.
I say that value for the money is very good, it will perform as advertised. I have not dug a big hole with it, but I am confident that I could if needed.
I have dug up numerous stumps, cleaned out ditches, moved logs around, that sort of thing.
A problem that I do have is that the backhoe seat fits to tight to the rops. In fact, if you are not careful, it will jam up against the rops if the seat is not in the full forward position. For this reason, if I am doing a small task I will operate the hoe while standing on the ground behind the stabilizers.
The hoe is very easy to attach to the 3ph because once the pto is attached the bucket and stabilizers allow conciderable motion to align with the 3ph. If backhoe work was my primary use for a tractor, I would have a bigger tractor, and a bigger hoe, but for what I do, it works fine.
I wrote the customer review on the Value Leader website about installation and setup and outlined some minor problems there.
In short for what I paid, and for the use I expect, it is a good value.
