Congrats, Jim! My turn; my turn! Think I'll be getting my 4310 Memorial Day weekend. How do you like the 4in1? Is that a JD 4in1? Love the picts. Keep 'em coming. Can't wait to compare notes with you, including what kind of tool kit you have for maintenance, have you read the manuals, are manuals adequate, are you excited, are you excited and you're probably excited. I know I am just seeing a 4310! Good for you. Enjoy.

blurrybill, Congratulations on your choice...If your like me Memorial Day cannot get here soon enough!
All I can say is WOW! (I have been in the selection process for almost 1 year... considered the 3 major brands... and landed on the JD 4310 over the others mostly because of the dealer experience... and I have to tell you... including delivery... that has been more than expected... K.C. Canary i.e. Mark Bruckner... it has been wonderful!)
Not to linger on too long but... I have always said it is not only the price that should be the deciding factor but the dealer is equally important! My experience has been the exception not the rule (going by comments on tractorbynet.com) I have probably "shopped" 6 dealers of 3 different Manufacturers over the past 12 months... and the dealer with the best price was the one that was:
Closest to my "Hobby Farm"
Most responsive
and
had the best price!

Enough about luck!
Yes I love the 4 in 1 bucket... because of testimonials on this site I went for it and already I am glad I did! If you viewed the pictures I posted you can see why! No longer do I have to get off the tractor to "load" things into the bucket!... just open it up... lower... close it... pick it up... transport.... and drop! Wow... I am already spoiled after only 8 hours! (previous tractor... an Oliver w/FEL did not have the 4 in 1). I would highly recommend it to everyone and anyone! Retail is $1,800... ordered with the tractor... $1,200 installed with all of the plumbing! Get it if you can.

Good luck with your new 4310... post pics when you can!

Jim,

This 4in1 sure is a dandy....I ordered one for same reasons you did...the testimonials here at TBN. Based on the picture you just posted, this is exactly what I'm looking for. Most of my stumps are in the 4-8 inch category that I'm hoping to just pluck out like what you did.

Now, I didn't quite see it, but did you get a toothbar for the bucket? This should help even further in removing small stumps, creeping vines, sticker bushes, and the like. Mark will also give you a good price on this.

Bob,
No I have not ordered a toothbar yet... but I plan too!

It seems like the obvious next purchase!

Bob,
While I was there (K.C. Canary on Friday 4/26) they (Jason) told me that your tractor was in and he was working on the setup... you should expect delivery early in May!
Let me know how you delivery exeperiece is.

I'm sure you will agree..."boy are we lucky" (Dealer wise)!

Hi Bill,

Did you get everything ironed out with your dealer in Missouri? Sounds like you're all settled on attachments and the like. Are you getting your toothbar through KC-Canary (Mark Brucker)?

To elaborate on the toothbar question... as you know it would only help (be an advantage) while utilizing th bucket in the normal manner... i.e. digging into a hard pile or digging into hard ground! In those aplications it would certainly be an asset on the front edge of the bucket.
But consider the other options with the 4 in 1 where a toothbar would have no effect.... clamping, lifting clamped objects, blading and, scraping.
The toothbar would certainly enhance the flexibility of the 4 in 1 as it would a regular bucket... but, the 4 in 1 gives so many more options I would recommend it to everybody! It appears to be especially affordable at the time you order the tractor... but I am now a believer that it is one of the most productive "tools" you can have on any tractor with a FEL!

Bob,

Yes, I talked to Mark and he is drop shipping the toothbar to the Missouri dealer. The dealer and I still haven't finalized the discount -- let me know how you finally did with Mark. I'm getting more than I thought I would and have great spousal support. Getting both the 4in1 plus HD bucket (with toothbar), 60" mmm, 430 loader, HD boxblade, 2 rear worklights, 4th and 5th SCV (let's talk about these), 660 tiller. I'm going to rent a new double axle 18 ft. trailer and drive down to pick it up. Will save money and can inspect everything and get a demo before loading and leaving. My dealer says it will ship on the 17th, so I'm allowing a week for setup and any last minute problems. Will drive most of the way on Thu night. Then have Friday of Mem. Day weekend to inspect/load and return (about 7 hrs each way). Then, will have 3 full days to play, 'er work.

Keep your fingers crossed. I hope I have as pleasant an experience as you guys have had with Mark.

Bill
