Fordman, are you on the amerenue side of the state or the Kansas blue? If you are on the ameren side I would love to hear your array size and output if you have time. I’m close to you and am considering a loan before the credits expire

I'm on the Ameren side of the state, but we have a co-op. An Ameren line runs through our back yard (200 yards from our house), but we are fed by the co-op (whose line was 1/4 mile away).

Our array size is 11.7kW. We have 36, 325 panels. Since going live on December 9, 2016, we have produced 18 MWh of electricity. Our panels are on our detached garage with a 5/12 pitch roof facing almost due south (about 170 degrees I believe the contractor said).

If you want any more info, feel free to PM me. I'll be glad to give you my phone number if you have questions, and recommend a contractor who I am 100% pleased with.

Solar install crew started this morning. DOing all the frames and wiring today and coming back in the morning to install the panels.

Their warehouse guy tried backing their 7k lb trailer up my driveway yesterday to drop off for the install crew. Didn't work so well for him :D

Congrats, squeaking that install in right before the year ends, huh? looks like fantastic installation weather, haha.

A driveway like that and no room to turn around a trailer up at the house?!? yikes

Pictures like that of overcast skies makes me wonder how many good solar days do you get there?

Plenty of room to turn a trailer around. I think he was more concerned with not being able to make it up going forward and having the truck and trailer slid backwards over the bank into the brook

Quite a lot. House faces south and we get direct sun 95% of the day. Credits earned from production in spring, summer, fall offset the decreased production during winter with clouds and short days
