Forward/reverse on old Case is on the left side & it will fit nicely into a pair of shorts. Never fell though, just stopped short a few times. Joe H

Joystick, 4WD, 3pt levers on the right, and gear range and PTO levers on the left. I have snagged them all, and have learned to be a lot more careful about dismounting and what I wear.

Some good points mentioned above, I would add "don't hang a jacket on the back of your seat ina tlb either" . A friend of mine with a large excavating company had an accident where the operator grabbed his jacket on the rear joysticks swinging the boom into a man who was hurt real bad.

I have done this many times on my 2520. I have 1 certain pair of shorts that is just the right length and whatever that when I get off the right side the **** joystick does snag them. Luckily my shorts are kinda baggy and they seem to unhook themselves before I get the face-plant. Everytime I get off the Right side, I check my shorts now!
I thought I was the ONLY one! lol

I had joystick caught in my shorts too from backhoe when dismounting. instead of turning and backing down, I just kinda tried to hop off and the boom was swinging towards me. Of course I panicked and ripped my shorts for all to see. At least I got away before I had real injury other then my pride who saw the barnyard door opened...:ashamed:

I've done it with a coat catching my backhoe lever as i stepped down. Luckily that side just rases the dipper and uncurls the bucket, had it been the other side i may have swung the boom into myself causing a serious injury. Im much more careful now.

I can see it coming,..... new tractors won't start if wearing shorts. That will put an end to such shenanigans.

Agreed! I can definitely predict a redesgn here, possibly even a recall!:laughing:
