I'm in the process of getting a L4310 and your right budget rules. I had to go with no heater or glass on this one. But the good thing is that the wife likes the 8n and wont touch the Kubota that I have now. I just hope it stays that way with the new one.

Gordon,

I think your question fits into the same category as hp/acre! /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif No real answer. Keep in mind that the "Blue" team is part of CNH, the World's Largest Manufacturer of Agricultural Equipment ! ! ! /w3tcompact/icons/cool.gif /w3tcompact/icons/cool.gif

And of course, also keep in mind that bigger companies are not necessarily better companies./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif I'll bet even JimBinMI can cite examples of that.

Bird, I couldn't hardly get my wife to look at tractors even at the Stock Show. Guess if you are buying them for lawn mowers, then you get a lot more participation. After my wife and her sister spent about an hour hooking up a 6 ft rotary mower to my old Massey, she just wanted to be sure this one had adjustable links on the 3 point. Now I wonder why she thought about that?

Wen, I'm afraid my wife just plain ain't interested in tractors. She's never been on one and has no desire to start./w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

See what those advertising guys start showing all those young girls driving cab tractors on the NH brochures. Now every body wants a cab. /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Wen,

It could be those advertising "gals" at New Holland...you know, they let women work outside the house now! /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

In college, I had a very attractive blond female friend that now works in the fertilizer business in the Chicago area. At first, the guys gave her a real hard time, but once they knew that she knew what she was talking about and that she was very good, they let up on her.

Yeah, Fertilizer is really complex stuff. Let's see is the first number nitrogen or potash.

Whoever did the brochures didn't realize that tractors need little things like tires as they are not in the specs. They love words that have no intrinsic meaning...so who knows who did the brochures.
