Trying to figure out a place to put a tool box on this little thing. I just can't seem to find a spot, or box for that matter that seems to work. I generally use old ammo cans for boxes on tractors, they are easy to get into, have a good seal on them and come in different sizes.

Any suggestions on a good place to mount, or a good box.

I currently have a tow strap around the front grill guard....and I hate it there....I just can't find a good spot to hang anything on this little guy.

If you guys have photos on what you have done that would be great.

I added this carry-all from the $Store. I paid a buck for it. It fastened with a zip tie to the loader pin.

Why couldn't you make something that had a "belt clip" that hooked over the left loader tower for one fastener and the zip tye down low like you did, but making a much larger box, that could even have drawers or compartments. Now I have given you something to think about.:D

I also moved my fanny flag and mounted a tool box on bar behind seat.

Kubota makes one for the bx, it mounts to the ROPS. Part # U91500 or it might be w/g bx3068(looking at part diagram for 2370)
I was going to order one this week. No idea what the price is, most likely more than what I think it should be. 4shorts has one on his bx.

That is a good spot, but on mine the brake is over there, so that will be a no-go. Looks like it would work real well.

I just use a small soft tool bag, change out the tools for winter to include shear pins and a drift. But I find the soft bag tucks behind the seat nicely and when I use the BH, I move it. No biggie. It holds just what's necessary, nothing more.

btw - What's necessary MUST include a first aid kit. I also carry a can of wasp spray in the summer.

That is also a good idea, a soft bag that I can somehow attach to the back of the seat. Wish that "glove box" on the back of the seat was a little larger.

Others have had the same idea, even the same Sears toolbox, I think! I mounted this on a stainless steel bar that I attached to the ROPS using some 10-32 machine screws..... worked very well, and was waterproof, too.

I still have not come up with an idea that I am wild about....your idea I don't think will work as I have to turn the seat around to use the backhoe.

It is one of those ongoing things that I will just have to keep messing with....there is just no place that will look good on the little machine, and be out of the way, AND hold enough stuff to be really useful. I am thinking of some kind of mount off the back of one of the roll bar tubes....but I am not sure I am keeping the roll bar.

I mounted a wooden box on the back of the rops for my chainsaw, chains, come along and any other tool I may need. I would be lost without it.

If I picture what you are talking about that is the way I am leaning, but I hate...as in HATE that fricken roll bar. Keeps catching trees and then it tries to kill me.

:D Ya, I hate those things too...I believe mine will spend most of it's life either folded or hanging from my garage wall. When I used to mow with my Exmark zero turn, I had the ROPS try to kill me more than a handful of times...guess where that one went?

I like that idea, and it would hold enough but that backhoe gets in the way....I am really thinking I am just going to build a little trailer to drag behind the thing....or keep loading up the bucket with stuff. A trailer could be large enough to carry my saws, clippers, gloves, some first aid (I am a klutz) water....and anything else I can think of.

I'm still holding out for that one magic tool box for my BX23... its been a long time though.. You would think with all the little gadgets people have marketed, there would have been a tool box for us by now... done holding my breath!

There is just not one ounce of room on the little machine. They really maximized the design. I am really leaning to the trailer idea...I can carry the bigger stuff (chain saws, bolt cutters, stuff like that) The only thing I would like to have all the time is a pull rope....I have a chain on my other machines, but that scuffs them up pretty bad. I want the BX to stay nice....heck I have even waxed the stupid thing...people laugh at me.

I had a tie rope on the front guard for a while but HATED the way it looked....yea I know it is a stupid tractor, but dang that looked so bad. Oh well, hopefully I will be on my feet this weekend and I can start on the trailer.
