I spent this weekend at my family farm and hunting club on my tractor brushhogging. i had put a $9 wal mart tool box (painted orange of course) on a piece of metal with sq. bolts attached to the ROPS.
Well at some point sunday the cutter sent something intended for me . the little toolbox caught the brunt! /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
Now it makes me happy cause i didnt have to feel the pain. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I didnt even know what happened until i had loaded the tractor on my trailer. nice dent in the box!kind of messed up my paint job and i don't think i can straighten the box but it saved me.

I think i will look into chains a little harder!!!!!
I built a screen for the tractor but havent put it on yet.

I just thought i would share this . things happen when your having fun.

If you buy the ready made ones, they seem a bit expensive, but worth it! I really wouldn't want to use a rotary cutter without them. Of course you can also make your own without spending a lot of money if you have a welder.

I'd hang on to that scrappy, dented toolbox - it's a proven good luck charm.
