Markhamwelding was my choice also. Great people to deal with, and courteous is an understatement. Their secretary makes you feel like your part of the family.

As I recall quite vividly, talking to the secretary made one wish they'd married a southern girl.:D

I guess I'm one of the few who did not buy from Markham, though from the sounds of the praise I wish I'd phoned them first... ;). I did acquire a Woods 60" toothbar through my dealer for about $240 as I recall.

Markham sometimes has trouble with their suppliers causing long delays. As nice as they are sometimes you can't wait. United Steel Works on Ebay has the 72 inch for around $240 delivered. I can tear up just about anything but I have not been able to faze that toothbar.

I got mine from Markham about 2 months ago. I paid $290 and that includes shipping to calif.for a 60 inch bar and received it in about a week, and as a bonus you get to deal with some very, very nice people

I looked at tooth bars from the net but wanted to see one before purchase. Discovered that local JD dealer had 3 leaning against a wall. He let me take one home to see how it would fit the bucket... about .5 inch too narrow... I figured that a few washers would fix that and bought it. Cost was about $330 as I recall, picked up in person and proven to fit my tractor... which was better than I could buy over the net plus shipping.

The JD bar is HEAVY..... weight is 130 lbs... with replaceable 6 inch teeth. I think that is heavier and the teeth are longer than Markham, but can't swear to it. I do know that I feel that it very substantially improves the strength of the bucket lip, bucket capacity and total number and type of jobs that the bucket can tackle.

I bought one of the united steel toothbars off ebay.

My bucket is only 58" and I think I paid around $280 including shipping.

For a 72" toothbar from them it looks like it would be around $350 with shipping.

There are nice toothbars in my opinion and they built it and shipped it within a week of buying it.

Here's a picture of it when I checked to see how it fit before I drilled my bucket and bolted it on.

I got mine from United Steelworks (eBay) too, but I got a "landscape" model (more teeth). I don't remember exactly, but I think I paid a little over $300 for a 54" bar. It was about $20-$30 more for the extra teeth.

These are pretty heavy duty and only require 2 bolts. It takes a little longer for delivery because they are custom made and the only issue I had was they could have let the paint dry a little longer before they boxed it up.

My ~60" Markham toothbar was about $267 delivered to TN. I have been very happy with it. (Now if the rain will take a break, and the sun will stay up, maybe I can go out and use it.)
