The tooth bar will help a lot. The teeth can rake through the top layer of soil where the roots are and rip them and you don't get piles of dirt. You can't do that with a blade edge. If you push a tree over and then get under the root ball to free it the big teeth on a tooth bar will really help you grab on and rip it up. When you are done the teeth make a nice brush rake too.
