Any toothbar can be broken. Flat toothbars are not as durable and rugged as standard ones. I don't know if one particular brand outshines the others or not. I have two, a flat one and a regular one. I only using the flat one for finish work. They do make your bucket more functional for digging, brush removal, and maintaining a flat and level cut. I prefer pin on teeth over the dimpled.

I've had a tooth bar on my B2910/LA402 for 9 years. I replaced the teeth once..they are pin attached. I use the tooth bar extensively for digging...everything from cleaning a ditch to digging out stumps. The tooth bar is probably the handiest attachment I own. I'm not sure what brand it is...I bought it from my Kubota dealer shortly after I tried digging with just the bucket.

A lot of us bought Markam tooth bars for our SCUT...

Never heard of anyone having a failure.

I know mine has gotten a lot of hard use from prying rocks apart.

I agree with jimbo64. I bought a Markham (now Gator Attachments) and love. It has side pin cast teeth instead of side pin fabricated teeth. I dig in creek gravel quite a bit and its never disappointed me or shown much sign of wear. I like it so much when I sold it with my tractor last year, I actually called the buyer and bought it back when I could not buy a new one from Gator for my new tractor. They could not get side pin cast teeth for quite some time last summer. I actually bought it back for half the price of a new Gator.

I recently ordered a WRLong flat tooth bar

based on feed back from a greentractotalk (a JohnDeere forum)

After getting stalled digging red clay without a tooth blade, i did some research and selected this in part because it can be used to back blade level. Some tooth bars do not allow this and needs to be removed. When I get it installed and in use I will try to take pictures and post.
