looks fragile to me - but I like that PT pattern tooth to the right of it!

Are you planning on going after really, really big dandelions? That twin tiger tooth looks just like the business end of my (manual) dandelion puller.

Bob you actually manually pull dandelions?? :D

I am sure its not fragile, i would think it would break hard ground better than a single tooth..

Faster wear of the teeth.

If you want something that will last through harder stuff (rocks, etc.) then take a look at the star style of tooth. Think of it as a beefed up single tiger.

Only real disadvantage I'd see on any other than the standard flat spade looking ones used is the cost. Both tiger, and star type teeth cost a good bit more.

What type of stuff do you plan on digging into with the FEL that you want the twin tiger teeth?

Hey! I was on the right track with the dandelion puller comment. I think the twin tiger teeth would probably work OK for shrubberies, tree seedlings, etc., though they may clog with thick turf (?). I also agree that they would likely wear faster than beefier, single teeth. Finally, if you have very rocky ground, I'm not sure how well the twin tigers would hold up.

dirt clod

If you desire more aggressive digging and ripping, then go for it. It is not the norm, but what the hay. If they do wear down, just put some hard surface material on them, and make them better than new.

Seems like no one offers a tooth bar with any teeth other than the square points. Guess that should tell me something. strange enough though the twin tigers are recommended for heavy equipment digging in permafrost. Would have thought to have been as much help for 'buta digging in clay.

that just means they're expensive - and the standard square point teeth aren't. (relatively speaking)

Hey Dirt Clod, i had a Kubota L2800 and i put teeth on the Front end loader on it. I went to the Kubota dealer and ordered up some of the backhoe bucket teeth and it worked great. I had them welded on instead of bolting them on. Figured it would be stronger. They broke ground better than the straight edge, and you could dig down and catch roots with the teeth and break them so that you can get small stumps out of the ground. You can cut into a pile better with the teeth than you can without them too. The teeth were about $21 a peice....i think i had 5 or 6 on it. Cant remember, and i sold it a year ago so i cant check it for you......Don
