Your NH dealer should have a 72" toothbar that will bolt right to your bucket for about $275. That's what mine cost. Your bucket already has mounting holes drilled on each side.

It'll make your TN a "super-digger" for sure. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

What's the lagest stump you are able to dig out with your tooth bar & loader. I have a 7308 loader and would like to dig up 4-5 inch diameter pine stumps. would it work?

Woodlot, there are too many variables there for me to make a reliable estimate. Your 7308 has about half the breakout force of my 16LA and I work mainly with shallow root postoaks and blackjack oaks. All I can tell you for sure is that whatever you can do with your 7308 now, you'll be able to do much more with the toothbar added.

That's probably not the answer you were looking for, but I'd rather tell you what I know than take a guess at what I don't know and maybe give you the wrong impression.

Because of the tap root that a pine has, you may have a hard time getting them out with a toothbar. You need to start out away from the trunk and break as many feeder roots as possible, but digging down far enough to loosen the tap root (you probably won't break it) is not that easy with a loader. Quite often, even using my backhoe, I've simply dug down far enough to get to where I can just cut the tap root with a chainsaw instead of trying to get the whole thing out. That's usually 3-5 feet down. Hard to do with a loader. Of course, those were much larger diameter trees though than 4"-5".

Recently took off the toothbar to smooth and backblade 3/4 inch processed stone to repair the gravel driveway and was happy to get it back on, when I saw how much more difficult it was working without it.
