Where do I begin.....
The "Clint" thread got me to thinking about all my favorites. The list is extensive, but I tried to narrow mine down to the top 10. What's yours?

1. Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid
2. Hollywood Knights
3. Kelly's Hero's
4. Field of Dreams
5. Forrest Gump
6. The Longest Day
7. A Few Good Men
8. One Flew Over The CooKoo's Nest
9. M.A.S.H.
10. A Walk in the Sun

Not in any certain order

Here are the first ten that came off the top of my head -- also allowing for minimal overlap with previous posts -- most of which would fit my tastes, as well.

Kelly’s Heroes
Patton
Dirty Harry
Star Wars
One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest
Tombstone
Dances with Wolves
The Great Escape
The Dirty Dozen
The Guns of Navaronne

These are among the ones I will watch over and over -- if it's on TNT or AMC, I'm there -- even with the commercials. Guess I ought to buy them on DVD, huh?

EDIT: Oops got to squeeze in Casablanca. Does that make a "Baker's Ten"?

Wizard of Oz
Blues Brothers
Apocolypse Now
Animal House
Oh Brother Where Art Though
Star Wars

That's all I can think of right now. Strange list huh?

The Kurt Russell version of Tombstone is vastly underappreciated IMO. The whole movie was great, acting was superb, I thought Val Kilmer's portrayal of Doc Holliday was Oscar worthy. It is on my 5 star (top rating) list...but so are perhaps 40 others.

One I've not seen anyone mention is Princess Bride. I know this isn't exactly a macho guy movie, but it may be the best movie I have ever seen. A bit of something for everyone, clean, decent action, great humor....the swordfight scene between Westley (Carrey Elwes)and the Spaniard (Mandy Potemkin-whose performance is pehnomenal) is an absolute classic, as is the brief "you think that I think that you think" scene between Elwes and the Sicilian (Wallace Shawn). Add Andre the Giant, Billy Crystal, and Peter Falk as the grandfather/narrator....it certainly is my family's favorite all time movie. Don't know of a kid who's seen it and not loved it.

I'm not as old as you folks so my titles are newer for sure. I've never even heard of many of those movies. Here is my list of movies worth watching again and worth remembering when a question like this comes up:

Shawshank redemption
forest gump
braveheart
stand by me
napolean dynamite
tommy boy
dumb and dumber
Austin Powers
American Pie (the whole series)
Strange Brew eh

1,2,3- Lord of the Rings
4,5,6- Star Wars
7,8,9- Back to the future
10 - Star Trek

It appears I'm a Si Fi fan.
