Saw some of everyone else's list and agree, but I think a film that is absolutely great in many ways is:

WHERE EAGLES DARE

Suspense, action, scenery, great acting(Richard Burton and Clint) just great.

That's a tough one. There's no way I could keep it to the top ten favorites. My mind changes too much. I can safely say my all time number one with out a doubt favorite movie is Outlaw Josey Wales. From there it can go anywhere from Shawshank Redemption to The Color Purple. I also like some really stupid comedies. As my wife puts it's "movies for people with limited intelligence"

By the way, if you haven't seen The Color Purple you owe yourself the privilege.

Spaceballs and Galaxy quest would make the top 20 for me.

Also Dark Blue World - Tmavomodrý svet (2001) - if you are at all interested in the Battle of Britain.

My lists are pitiful. Humphrey Bogart does not appear. What about the African Queen, or Casablanca? Gary Cooper did not appear. Epic movies are not listed, such as Gone with the Wind and Ten Commandments.

It is impossible.
