Hi, I recently purchased a new CK4010hst and am very excited about joining the Kioti family! I also purchased a bushhog rotary cutter, pallet forks, grapple, and landplane. I have a question about top and tilt cylinder type and length, has any one installed a TNT on this model and if so, could I get some information on off of the cylinders you are using?

Hopefully someone has the exact info you need.

If not I'll provide a little insight to my recent TNT install. The guy who pops up on a google search- fitrite seems to have good stuff but you must pay in full, up front and then wait 3+ months for the product. I ended up with a Gearmore setup. They have terrible info on their web page but the kit has worked well. I did a quick video of the TNT that is on YouTube if you want to check it out.
If you are going to make the kit yourself I would suggest having the implement hooked up to the lower links and measuring everything yourself. 98% of the work is tying into and running hydro lines and figuring out how to mount the valve and rear quick connects that will go to the cylinders. If you started with the measurements and then ordered the two cylinders I'm betting the cylinders would arrive before the rest of the install was done.
I would also suggest a 3 spool valve as they cost about the same and having the option to add a third function would be nice- I use mine for the rippers.

Good luck and enjoy the TNT. I have no idea how anyone gets anything done without this setup- way more patience than me!

Thank you so much for the information. I already have the remotes (2) on the rear and both levers, had my dealer install those as I thought it might be a bit too technical for my challenged brain. Now I am just trying to figure out the size, length, and overall travel of the cylinders, I figured I would be able to install that portion pretty easily. I will search for you video and have a look. Thanks again for the help.

My opinion, If your remotes do not have float function, I recommend cylinders with check valves.
I had non check valve cylinders years ago and the tilt cylinder had a habit of drifting off. (real PITA)
I have a top link and tilt cylinder with check valves for the past 15 years and they stay where I put them, never drift off.

Thanks. My fit rite cylinder always drifts off. Where you get yours from?

Should not have mentioned brand name as it has nothing to do with the drifting.

I got mine from C&C imports ( Carter & Carter)15 years ago.
Not sure they are still in business, a quick search and I couldn't find it.
Surplus Center carries top links with check valve, not sure about side links.

Brian, I am NOT blaming your cylinder as I know its my control. Thanks for the link. The valve is not faulty its just the way these ones are.

So it has done this from the beginning? Not gotten worse? Other DK 40s don't all have this problem. I believe that it is the quality of the product that Kioti is-was using. I had one customer that was able to get his dealer to warranty 3 valves before he finally got one that was good. I had another customer that they could never get his CK right, traded for a DK40 and all was well and he was a happy camper. :)

Ultimately I posted so that other people do not see "My fit rite cylinder always drifts off" and think that it is a cylinder problem, when it is not.

No Its the valve and it the way it is. It will stay there for a few hours but will drift. Funny my FEL will stay aloft for weeks without moving an inch...

I think that the majority of loader valves are just better quality valves, not ALL, but most.

I'm looking to add a hydraulic lift to to my CK2510 mostly so I can adjust the tilt on my back blade for grading the driveway.

I already have quick connects on the rear to power my Kioti backhoe.

Am I correct in thinking that all I need is a cylinder to replace the adjustable lift arm and a valve to connect the cylinder to the quick connects? I don't think I need the hydraulic top link and it seems that add a lot of $$$. I'm sure my Kioti dealer could set me up but I don't have the ability to transport my tractor there.

Thanks for any help.

It sounds like you are asking about a side link. If that’s the case, it’s typically the custom cylinder because of the way it attaches to the two lower arms. It’s not typically a simple stick cylinder.

The rest of your assumptions seem correct- out of the QDs, into a valve and to the cylinder.

Buggs67, since your tractor is a Kioti, a good source for hydraulic side links is Michigan Iron & Equipment. They can build a side link for you that is pretty much plug and play. Lead time is about two weeks right now, I think. They also have hydraulic top links, although the top link is easier to fit, so does not require custom fabrication and sourcing if you measure carefully. For the side link, fitting is much more critical, due to the angle of the clevis at the cylinder end. It has to be made for the particular tractor brand and model.

I just spent some time on their site and couldn't find anything about side links, TnT, valves, etc. Their website is different from last time I looked at it. I guess I'd have to call and discuss my needs. And of course a custom side link would be more $$$. If I buy a cylinder with the correct ball socket for my pin (Cat 1) the rod end could be fabricated to fit my lift arm. The stock side link already broke because Kioti welded it straight and it should have a slight angle. My BIL welded it back on at the correct angle and it's been OK.

I have several friends who are competent fabricators and welders (one has built a working Gatling gun from scratch).

I'm thinking this valve will work for this application. https://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200416981_200416981
