Top Link Connection

It seems I can't access the third (bottom) hole of the tractor side top link connection, as the pto shaft cover is blocking it. Cover is fixed in place, not
movable per manual. Dealer set it at top hole. I am just bush hogging. Which hole do you guys mount the top link to? Manual says bottom hole for cutting.

I use the top hole on my l3800............

I leave mine in the top hole but I have top & tilt so the hydraulic cylinder that replaces the top link is larger in diameter. I use it for mowing & chipping and have never had any problems.

thx, guys... the mounting plate with the link holes is solid, not spring loaded like my old 8N , so i don't think i'll have a problem with top hole.
