Hey, it was only 2.5 hours before you replied...retirement getting to you already?:D

Actually, I get email notifications that come around midnight. I clicked on the link and didn't look to see that your post was there before adding my post.:)

Now...what the heck were you doing up at 4:19 am? That's the real question.;) Being retired lets me sleep in until 6:00 am or later.:D

Most of you likely have done this already, but FYI I went out and measured my 4720's top link fully retracted and extended. It was 19.5" retracted and 30" extended. When it was fully retracted my quick hitch was maybe at a 15 degree angle "toe backwards". When it was fully extended it was 30 - 40 degrees "toe forward". I dunno what function would ever need that much toe forward, so I'm going with the 18 - 26.5" CCM top link, thus giving me more useful toe backward (ie. to make dirt/snow/etc roll when blading), and less meaningless toe forward.

Can't wait to nudge that lever instead on getting off and spinning..... and spinning...... and spinning...... the manual TL!!! That's lazy I know, but so is a remote starter, but I'll likely do that too!!!

Just my thoughts.

I commend you for taking the time to determine how much forward and backward tilt you actually have and then determine how much you actually need. Often the stock top link does not tilt the same in both directions as you found out. That is the perfect way to determine closed and open top link length IMHO. Match it to what implement(s) will need forward or backward tilt to do what you want, and consider any new ones you may be purchasing in the future.
