Top Speed

The B9200 Kubota owners manual lists a top speed with the HST (hi range)and 13.6-16 rear tires of 11.72 MPH @ 2500 engine RPM. I'm curious why, when top engine RPM is 3000, would Kubota not show the max speed of 11.74 times 3000/2500 or 14.09 MPH.

breaking power when fully loaded down perhaps? max speed with max load on it?

is 2500 RPMs high green side of RPM gauge. and 3000 RPMs red lining the RPM gauge?

is 2500 RPMs suggest RPMs for 540RPMs at PTO shaft or 1000RPMs at PTO shaft? and they just went with keeping things simple for wanted RPMs at PTO shaft for various 3pt hitch equipment?

2500 rpm at this particular Kubota engine is so called rated speed. If you investigate power, torque and specific fuel consumption curves you will see that it is a speed around which the tractor has the highest torque and the lowest specific fuel consumption [g/kW/hour or oz/HP/hour]. In other words that is the speed range where the tractor is most efficient.
