I have a Morbark Eeger Beever model 200 tow behind wood chipper. I need to adjust the knives on this unit. I was told the tolerances were 50 - 100 thousands of an inch from the highest blade. Does anyone know how to make these adjustments ? I have installed new blades already and when I use the chipper the wood chips are big. It is my understanding that adjusting them it will make the wood chips smaller. Thank you John

If I'm correct the Eager Beaver is a flywheel chipper not a drum. Typically this adjustment is made with the "bed blade". It might not look like a blade but a plate that adjusts in and out from the flywheel. A wider gap will result in larger chips and takes more power but chips faster. A closer gap will produce smaller chips and take less power but chips slower. Which engine does yours have? I think they had a 80hp gasoline and a 76hp cummins diesel. The cummins might have a little more torque.
