There are still a few scattered chestnut stands around. I'm not sure if they're resistant, or just isolated enough that they haven't been exposed to the blight. My employer managed a tract of land in Central Maine which has one of the largest known stands remaining. It was sold to a conservation group, which is probably the best use for it. I only wish that I had taken a walk into it before it was sold.
