Traction Traction is all about balance

The idea of just backing in and lifting sounds fantastic. I always have to jiggle and wiggle to line up pins. Once the side pins are in the weight almost balances for the top link, however if I switched to a concrete weight I would embed a chunk of predrilled 2 1/2" square tubing for a receiver hitch in the rear.

Where did you get the parts?

I fabed a frame using 2"x2"x.25" angle and 1.5"x.25"flat iron. I welded cat.1 hitch pins to the angle, then built a form for the concrete out of pywood. The flat iron sticks out the back,is drilled and serves as a drawbar, there is a clevis on it in the picture. There also is a 45 degree brace from the flat iron to the angle iron that goes up to the top link. The pins came from TSC.

Here is a very small drawing of it.If you open it it's almost visible.I dont know how it became so small.
