Yup, she's the right one, I know it for a while now, an d she keeps proving that every day :).
Jimgerken, don't worry, I will put high quality colors on it. It would be a shame to do a poor paint job after all this work.
Well, here are a few fresh pictures. Been working on stabilizer pads and hose guides...

Wow - to put it kindly I am impressed with this project. But I am also confused with the last couple of pictures. I see several plastic things, and will assume that this isn't your gentler side coming out. :)

One looks like a locator block of something, but the main boom pin has snap rings on it to lock it in place. The other looks almost like a guide of some sort. Can you clarify what they are used for?

Snap ring is holding the upper part of the king pin because there wasn't enough place up there for anything else. The lower part of king pin has a thread and a nut.
Plastic block is intended for holding the hoses in place while the boom rotates left-right so they don't jump out, and that's also the purpose of white rollers inside of the main frame.

Still short on free time...but I've been working on foot pedals. The whole idea is to control the machine as fast and smooth as possible, without having to let go of the control levers. So, I decided to make 2 foot pedals. One to control the hydraulic thumb, and the other to control additional hydraulic circuit (log clamps etc.). There will be a lever system conected to the hydraulic valves; each pedal on one side...something like this:

BFreaky, that pedal set up is very similar to what's on all of our Prentice Telestick 33 material handling booms and it's very efficient you will be very happy with the way it works. The only improvement on the pedals that I'd suggest is to bend a piece of square stock to the same radius as the top and bottom of the pedals and weld it in place to create a lip giving your boots a place to grab so they don't slip off.

Thank you for the advice, I will do it. At first I figured that the plate with "tears" pattern would be enough, but why not, I can add some lips

Not only are you an awesome artist/engineer/designer/builder/photographer/poster...

You even have humility and a great attitude.

:thumbsup:

BFreaky;

Maybe I missed it somewhere (doubt it because I have been following this thread) but will the pattern be ISO or SAE?

Thanks looks great!
