I will use ISO pattern. It seems more logical to me, isn't it? I mean, they both have advantages, but I think it's more important to be able to lift the dipper and turn at the same time when unloading material...

Good point, after all that hard work you certainly don't want to use plain 'implement paint" A good automotive paint w/ "hardener" is a must it gives a nice shine and will last much longer.If it's not too late, I 'd suggest a red oxide primer, followed by an enamal plus hardener. I did this on my corn planter rebuild, its as good as a factory paint job, except everything is painted instead of missed and thin spots. Amazon.com: Valspar 4625 Enamel Hardener - 8 oz.: Automotive
