Tractor
Kubota L3000
As I pulled into the driveway last night I noticed my Kubota L3000 had returned from it's stay at the tractor hospital. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Monday it went to the dealer for a re-occuring problem with the 3PH lift hydraulics. This time 3PH hydraulics failed totally. The first two times it had problems the FEL control valve was suspect, but it worked fine all the time.

I thought it was something in the 3PH valve circuit because it only affected the up operation of the lift arms. The 3PH control lever would allow the lift arms to lower if they were up, but they would not lift up.

I called the tractor doctor first thing this morning cause I just had to know what the problem was. He told me there was a piece of forgien material in the relief valve causing it to stay open. It must have been there when it was assembled. At first it would only bother once in a while but and now it had worked it's way into a place where it caused the 3PH to totally fail.

They told me I should not have this problem agian. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Pete,

I don't have the same hide-a-ways you have to keep the bottles properly chilled, but I would love to celebrate with a new tooth bar!!! /w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif

No matter what kind of day you had, I bet that put a smile on your face.

Congrats on getting such an annoying problem taken care of. I suggest you get out there and put a lot of hours on it now, just to be sure.

I think a good work out this weekend is in order, I hope I can convince my wife this is a necessary follow-up procedure./w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif

I think I can convince her Friday night at her favorite resturant/w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

This is my first new tractor. Through this little experience I see the value of a good dealership, they have treated me really well. The dealer is about 35 miles away and they showed up when the said they would.

If I had purchased a tractor that did not have a service department fairly close by what would I have experienced then?

I shudder to think, Randy. Unfortunately for me, the nearst dealer of any kind is about an hour away, and the place I actually bought my L2500 from is a good hour and a half.

Keep us posted on your "follow up" procedures.

Glad to read all turn out well.
Sounds like you got a great dealer and stands behind his word.

Have fun for the lost seat time and send some photos if you get a chance.

I would love to post pictures but right now the only digital image I can produce is with paper and pencil, and I"m no artist.

I do not have a scanner or digital camera. I would like to get a digital camera but I'm not sure of what to even look for in a camera to get resonable quality pictures suitable for posting.

The weather today is beautiful, sun is shining temps in the 50's or higher. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

I wish we had to snow. I heard that the water level in some areas east of here is 4 feet below normal and no snow run off to help this year. They were talking about a drought diaster if we don't get some serious rain. Water rationing, no lawn watering, car washing, if things don't change soon.

Too much mud for the mower to handle right now.
