Re: Another low cost alternative
The Chinese Jinma tractors use a white plastic canopy, that mounts via two plates, which bolt to the ROPS. They come in two widths, and should be able to be adapted to other ROPS, with 4 U-bolts. Since drilling holes in ROPS is a big no no. You can view a couple of pic at these sites:

There are many other Jinma dealers across the country. Pop me an email, and would try to locate the closest ones I know of. (I'm out for a week, but will reply as soon as I'm back) Cost of canopy and mounts is around $80, and with dealer mark-up it should be around $150.
I have the one for the folding ROPS, and in the few hours I have on the tractor going up our tree covered trails, it has performed well. When it contacted some low hanging branches, it was able to give, and not dent or scratch. With my folding ROPS, it points straight back, and easily get in my 6' garage door. I have also mounted some automotive driving lights to the front, but don't have them wired yet. Also will mount the rear work light, on the back edge.
They are not for everyone, but if the width fits your tractor, and with a little DIY, it does fit the low dollar solution.
