I am leary of a cover. I used one on my tractor the first winter I had it. Lots of rust the following spring. I quit using it. The sun does a number on the paint, but I have less rust uncovered.
Well there might be another way to get decent coverage or storage for your tractor that gets around some of that red tape. Had you considered an enclosed storage trailer? Say 6 foot by 12 foot or fourteen foot? Around here the used ones seem to go for about@K - perhaps far more than you want to spend. Yes you would need something to pull it with and perhaps you would have to have it registered to keep it on your 9 acre place but it might work. Otherwise I might be tempted to get some canvas and make a cover. Good luck with it!
The enclosed trailer is an idea to get around the zoning red tape now i just need to find one big enough and strong enough to fit my subcompact + FEL or snowblower![]()
