Tractor flips while pulling boat !!!

Lots of us have steered with the brakes while carrying the front tires a few inches, but there can be no doubt the extra torque comes with a significant risk. I use a lift arm drawbar for those few times a belly bar just will not do the job, however, you have to respect it, like an FEL. You have to be very aware of the task, the terrain, how high the load is, how high the bar is, your traction, the gearing, etc etc.

IMO pulling from a drawbar on the lift arms is precarious for the very experienced and downright dangerous for the average operator. If there's no option than to change the physics, pull from a belly bar over the top of a box blade or something similar that will bottom out and allow traction to break. A bent piece of metal is not nearly as painful as a bent neck and it moves most of the stress away from the top link.

A good idea when using the stay bars isto tie the three point lift lever down. That way you won't forget and raise the hitch up with the straps in place. Been theredone that and made scrap metal out of a set.

ford even had a lockout chain for that very purpose..
