Thanks for advice. Bought binders today and will pick up some chain and straps from Lowes this weekend. Brought the dump trailer to the house today to add a toolbox and some d rings for the chains.
Yeah it's going to be nice not having to shift. Have you seen the youtube video of the TractorGuy on the m59 going forward and backward, fast over and over? Back and forth. I don't know when i will ever need to drive back and forth like that but it's good to know i canlink to video
Interesting video for sure. There's a dash control on the M59 that varies the attack rate on the Hydrostat. By how jerky that tractor guy is moving I'm guessing he's got the attack control set on "fast".
Oh...not so fast there. You'll still have to shift some. The M59 is one fantastic machine...but not completely perfect. The range shift lever is rather sticky on all the M59s I've tried. Using the foot clutch for range shifting eases things. And in time you'll learn how to nudge the range shift lever just as you let off the throttle. Co-ordinating that nudge and the foot clutch are the tricks. Of course you do have fingertip H/L speed up on the steering wheel and many jobs are done in the well-geared medium range.
By way of compensation the BH and loader controls are very precise and feature high flow at very low effort and RPM. You'll love the creeper feature.
Oops! Try not to forget and leave the parking brake on like I've done so many times...although it hasn't seemed to matter.
All in all it's the kind of machine that you'll like better and better the more you use it.
