Still waiting on tractor. hoped it would be built by now. right at 30 days out. Family is headed out of town this weekend and would be perfect time to play...i mean work. Dealer gave me 2 day rental on mini x in deal so has bought me some time on jobs.

AWM59, 60k is right on the money. Have your's yet?

can someone tell me what size chains for proper chain and binder for tractor, loader and backhoe. I figure at least 6 sets. Any thoughts?

I would use 5/16" grade 70 chains and ratchet binders.

How are you going to use the m59?

I have many stumps to dig out and I want clear out an area for a pond. I have a log splitter and a grapple to use with it. I will be able to pick up some good size logs with the m59 I can't pick up much with the m4700 I have been using. Plus no more shifting gears and wearing out my left knee!

I would also use 5/16 G70 chains and binders. Lowes has a good deal on 5/16 G70 chain with the hooks on it. It comes in a bag. It looks like this but is around $35. Amazon.com: Campbell Chain T0513598 5/16-Inch by 20-Feet Grade 70 Binder Chain: Home Improvement

Depending on how you plan on securing to the trailer ratchet straps with chain ends may work.

2" Chain Extension Ratchet Straps | 2" Chain Lead Tie Down Straps

Thanks for advice. Bought binders today and will pick up some chain and straps from Lowes this weekend. Brought the dump trailer to the house today to add a toolbox and some d rings for the chains

Yeah it's going to be nice not having to shift. Have you seen the youtube video of the TractorGuy on the m59 going forward and backward, fast over and over? Back and forth. I don't know when i will ever need to drive back and forth like that but it's good to know i can :) link to video

I have seen the back and forth video and it's hard to believe a tractor that size can move that quick.

tractor is supposed to be ready monday :drink: but most likely monday i'll be doing this :confused3:

photo-6.JPG

Dealer let me use mini x on sewer job since tractor had to be ordered. Clay pipe ran another 30' or so than we originally thought. 1st pic is back of house and 2nd is side of house to street. Around 100' total. These jobs are never less than i expect

Mini was a kubota kx018-4. Around 17hp. Worked very well close to house. u can see in 2nd pick where i replaced some galvanized water line. i didnt realize a stump right next to the house was tough to dig up because a 3/4" metal line was running through it :duh:. Some dumbass ran the water line 6 inches deep...

One of the first things to learn about backhoe/excavator operation is to hold what is under neath the surface suspect. Call 811 before you dig, while they may not locate your own lines such as this one they will find the expensive to repair stuff.

You know we wan't pics of the new tractor when it arrives. Hope Monday works out for you.

yeah, i should have been more curious as to why the stump woudln't give up. Every other time it had been one last root i needed to cut.

Dig Test had marked the lines. One thing that worked out better than expected was it appeared the gas line ran within a foot of the sewer line all the way to the street. sewer line actually ran at angle away from gas line thank goodness.

Just so you know the since buying my tlb I haven't had to cut any roots on stumps with saws or axes. Your new M59 should have plenty of power and I am sure you will like its digging abilities. Good bit more force than my 110.
