Tractor in shop for 100 days

/ Tractor in shop for 100 days #31
I would appreciate any wisdom offered. I have a 2020 Workmaster75, it has been in the dealership since 10-2024.
They have not found the problem as of yet. I have contacted corperate and they are trying to help. problem is the dealership lost every expierenced tech on staff.
the tractor has been taken apart several times, and several parts have been replaced to no availe.
Has any one on here had the same or like situation and how did you resolve it.
I dont think that my tractor will ever be solid with all the things that were tried with out success.
The engine bay and dashboard have been opened up by the dealership account over 5 times.
The only tech at the dealership was hired and sent thru a two week class that lasted the entire month of Novemeber.
I bought this tractor when i retired from my day job thinking this would be the one the kids would have to get rid of in the auction when i'm gone..
Like i said the rep from cooperate jumped on the situation, but i am still getting reports of the dealership of waiting on a part, getting new codes for yet another system on the
machine.
Where are you located?

It's important to keep in mind that a failing dealership might just possibly go suddenly out of business, with the result that everything in the service department vanishes. The owners of the business may vanish. We lost a JD 1050 that way.

I had a bad experience with a new NH baler, 2024 model. The hay roller never worked correctly and couldn't finish a small run without a breakdown. The dealer was very responsive but this unit was simply a lemon in my opinion. I ended up returning it to the dealer, purchased a competitor's equivalent model and have not had one issue since. I'm wondering if NH is having QC problems with their ag machines.

WHY DID YOU TAKE IT TO THE DEALER IN THE FIRST PLACE?

To me, the entire OP has no credibility.

No description or details of tractor year, hours, or of issues or remedies tried to fix it.

No followup on the question that was vague in the first place.

Just click bait.

If you are smart you won't read this thread, The OP Asked an open ended question with no info as to the problem with the tractor.

OP might be an old guy that's not on the 'net much?
Whoever he is, he's not much interested in opinions or help from this forum Maybe he's forgotten his AOL password? :geek:

The BBB
The Better Business BS organization, is a complete joke. The most they'll
do for anyone is post a bad review of said company on their website. They scam their revenue by coercing businesses to join their club by threatening that 'someone' has opened a complaint against said business. The used to run a yearly series of scam phone
calls reaching out to businesses in a threatening manner, 'you better sign up and pay to join out little club in case someone complains about your business'. Anyone files a complaint about any business they (the BBB) takes a middle-of-the-road stance,
and it takes a number of complaints before they'll give any business (the business that's paid to be a member) a bad rating. And, listing complaints about a business is all they can accomplish for
anyone. The have zero 'power' to help a consumer get a refund or 'make things right'. Hint: If you do have complaints or a bad BBB rating, you might be able to 'improve' that by paying for a 'review' to boost your status. Online reviews and forums where people post opinions and warnings of poor service or products has replaced the aged and outdated BBB.

I never dealt with the BBB but talked to a guy that had a 2019 Chevy pickup that gave him nothing but trouble. Engine and transmission he got it fixed under warranty but they never could get the transmission right GM finally said they were done with him. He contacted the BBB, he had all documentation. They took his case and were extremely helpful to him.

GM took his old truck and he had to pay like $2000.00 for a few years newer one. GM wanted to charge him 50 cents per mile for the use of the truck going off the odometer. The BBB said he only had to pay 50 cents per mile for the miles it had on it the first time he had the complaint which was in the three thousands the truck had over 30,000 when it got bought back.

That's really interesting. I'd like to see actual proof of that happening, especially with a company as big as GM. I've never heard of the BBB 'taking' anyone's 'case', they aren't a legal firm. Details would be interesting to hear.

Edit: That guy that told you that story must have got lucky.
