There were 755,000 Fordson Model F tractors produced. More than any other single model.
A lot of those rocks are on edges of the treelines.. A few years back during President Obama's BiCAP program, much of that treeline was reclaimed into fields.How long did it take to look like that ? There is some nice soil in ME. More rocks and trees than farm land. Aroostook County lots of potatoes:thumbsup:
Yet common lore claims that most of it was farmland back in the 1800's. I find that hard to believe...Maine is the most forested state in the country

Maybe for you... Personally, I'm use to a clutch and there is no problem, if needed, to getting it pushed in fast...I dunno... I can say that being able to just let off a pedal when you get something hung is a lot safer than having to try and get on the clutch before the thing completely comes up and over on you. Once a tractor has rared up on you its very hard to get your foot up and on the clutch. It happens real fast. And your fighting gravity and split second awareness. And they had no ROPS on those days
