I would think they are lower cost because they are last to market, the units all stack up about the same so other than dealer network and the "Bobcat" name price end up being the final differentiators. I never have look in the skid steer world if the same holds true??


Not really knowing too much about the different brands out there, make me cautious. My wife is wondering why the bobcat tractors are such a bargain compared to many of the other brands out there now. At the moment bobcat is still offering a free front end loader, which is worth around $5500 or so. Plus I have decided the HST tranny suits me fine so that is another $2k off the sticker.

From what I have read here, it doesn't seem as if many people are experiencing any real chronic issues with the bobcat tractors. Might be buying the tractor this weekend.

My mistake, I meant to say I am getting the SST gear tranny on the tractor. I drove the HST and it was O.K. But it costs too much more. Plus the sales guy thought for what I told him I was going to do with it, the SST tranny was a better option.

Well, went out yesterday and bought the CT335 SSt tractor. Sure is new and shiney sitting in the barn. Drove it around a little yesterday, and even pushed some snow in the driveway. Has two hours on it!
