I see them at tractor shows .
Todays picture shows the new fuel filter I just got for the jd 430 diesel tractor. In Dec. we got fog, rain , then freezing rain , then temps dropped to below zero before morning . The throttle cable froze up and the tractor will not run right . It has run perfect for three years , summer and winter. So I know the water in the filter must be froze solid restricting full fuel pressure. The first nice 40 degree day we get I will change it and bleed the lines. I sure can't sell it if it doesn't run perfect. aaafilterone.jpg

Another morning of below zero temps so no workshop projects again. My love for garden tractors has been with me for many years but my love for real full sized 4x4 tractors since I was born, ha,ha. I have got to run a few different ones over the years and it was a real hoot. aaamike2.jpgaaamike3.jpgaaamike4.jpgaaamike5.jpgaaamike7.jpgaaamike8.jpg

There are a bunch of smaller articulated tractors manufacturers around (I own a US Made one).

If money was no option, this would be an ideal tractor for me (not that I don't love my machine and the 45 degree slope work it can do).

I love all those little 4x4 articulating tractors. Pugs I like too , there was one for sale 40 minutes from me and we went and test drove it . It only had 350 miles on it . He wanted way , way too much for my budget but I do like the Pugs too.
Today we got 6 inches of new snow in Gaylord . I used my two favorite plows and almost got the Steiner out too but thought that was overkill. I keep waiting for these other machines to fail so the new jd 758 4x4 can come to the rescue.:rolleyes:aaadeepsnow.jpg

No warmup in sight so my workshop is still closed. Average temps from zero to 15 degrees now for several weeks. But I am changing my mind now about a cab for my new tractor. By next fall I will be over the shock of spending the money on the new tractor and be ready to dish out 5 grand for a nice cab with heat and a remote starter:dance1:
Were still hovering around 100 inches of snow and were down about 40 inches from a year ago this time.

Try looking for one that has a window in the doors. Sometimes an open window is better than removing the door. It makes it more comfortable to get the mailbox open on a cold windy day.

The Silver Spade model stood over 10 feet tall . Also several pics of the Silver Spade being cut up for scrap. Anyone interested can go to you-tube and type in ( doncampbellmodels 187 ) . Or for those not so interested here are a couple pics.
This is what I did before I started puttering with the garden tractors.

Excellent job on the Silver Spade. Saw it working many times. Friend of mine was an operator for it in its last years of operation.

Do any of you have a cab like the above pics ? I'm curious what you paid before I go to a dealer in the spring.
