Today we stopped at a area JD Dealer and they had a 700 series with a Curtis cab in the showroom. It was a very nice cab !! , very roomy, the doors opened and shut very solid . Heater, wiper and overhead lights. $6,000.00 . He was also a dealer for Tech-tite out of Canada that makes the fancier cab with the all glass doors. He said that was $7,000.00 . So now by late summer I will decide what to do.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Well if you are seriously thinking of tractor and cab look at the tectite cab. Have a new Deere 2032 and dealer didn't have trchtiite and ended up with curtis, very disappointed with cab and curtis support. Cab leaked around the windows and rear roof joint.

Outrageous prices!!! A man with your skills could easily build a cab for your machine. (0;

aaalawncare1.jpgaaalawncare2.jpgaaalawncare3.jpgaaalawncare4.jpgaaalawncare6.jpgaaalawncare8.jpgaaalawncare9.jpgThanks, The Tektite cab with the nice tinted windows would be my choice. $7,000.00 is a lot !! I got to think more about it and decide this summer . I finally made it back into working in the shop and it seems so nice . This time of year reminds me of the 16 years doing lawn care. I built three trailers and I always kept my tractors and truck nice and clean.

That is very cool, that video has already hit over 150,000 viewers .:):):):)
It warmed up in the 40's this week and I changed the fuel filter and bled the line in the jd 430 . It fired right up and ran perfect. Now hopefully we'll get a couple spring snow storms and I can try out the new cab and the snowblower for the first time. :cool2:aaaboxscraper2.jpg

I know you mentioned it in a previous post but I just got my new issue and thought it deserved sharing. Also want to mention that Farm Show offers a "free issue" for those not familiar with their magazine. FARM SHOW - Home . From this issue of Farm Show...........

Another One From Don Campbell

There are very few inventors and machine builders like Don Campbell, Gaylord, Mich., whose detailed half-scale Deere 9630 tractor was featured in the last issue of FARM SHOW. Since then, Don has shown us an amazing variety of scale models and one-of-a-kind machines he has built. Over the next few issues, we'll be showing you a bunch of them.
The small-size Deere wheel grader shown here started life as a Wheelhorse garden tractor without a mower deck. Campbell first cut off the front axle and then extended the frame 6 ft. using 6-in. dia. thin-wall tubing for the grader frame. He installed taller tires on the front and back, welding 5-bolt spindles on the front and reworking the fenders on back to clear the 30-in. tires. He made the 6-ft. wide grader blade and pivot plate out of 18-ga. sheet metal so it's easy to raise and lower with a lever. Campbell says the grader was built just for show but could easily be modified to function as a working grader, if desired.

I am always excited to see my projects in a article. But I am not a bragger . If you know me you know I am very kind to everyone and always give everyone plenty of compliments on their own projects. My enjoyment is sharing my projects to give others ideas for their own future projects. I am the first to always admit my projects are far from perfect and rough around the edges. I have so much fun creating things but not so much showing them at shows. I am really pretty private of a person.

aaapush2.jpgaaapush3.jpgaaapush4.jpgToday was the tenth snowfall for us in Gaylord for March. I decided to fire up the jd 430 today and try out the new cab and the cingle stage snowblower for the first time . The snow was very wet and heavy and slush. So it tried but failed to do a great job under those conditions. So instead I decided to push the snow with the snowblower and it actually did a great job with the side wings i had made for it . When I got done I cleaned out the packed snow in the auger by hand. I'm getting desperate as two days from now it will be April 1st . I did a couple small projects in the shop but it has stayed quite cold. :confused:

Today I turned the jd 455 around on the lift table and started tweaking the Ariens 2 stage blower to fit on this tractor for the very first time. I have four snowblowers and the forth one will be put on one of my jd 110 round fender tractors in a couple weeks when the snow melts and I can get to it. This is a photo of my truck plow and I did not use it even one time last winter. The paaablower1.jpgaaablower3.jpgaaablower4.jpglift table 002.jpglow is 19 years old and only been used about 5 hours. It sat in my garage for 5 years never being used at all.

It warmed up to 49 degrees today and I just had to get some black paint out and paint the augers on two of the snowblowers. I also applied four JD decals to my Home Made cab
but it still looks like a Home Made Cab , :mad::mad::mad::mad::ashamed::ashamed::ashamed::rolleyes:aaacabdecal1.jpgaaacabdecal2.jpg
