^^^^^ That hitch attachment is pretty nice, but I don't think it would work for the OP, because of his back surgery. It appears that attachment has no way to lift the 96gal container by itself, meaning a person would have to pick up the weight of the entire container to set it on the hook. Is my thinking correct?

I like the previous idea posted by Gmanbart, that would likely solve the both problems by allowing the use of the 3pt hitch to lift the container, then transport it by tractor out to the road. With a little fabrication, a FEL could be adapted to do the same thing, but then you have to drive with the bucket raised somewhat to keep the container off the ground, and it might limit visibility some. That would be my 2nd choice. Good ideas though, I might have to file them away in the thumb drive in my brain in case I ever need to do that LOL.

Put the attachment on the 3-point hitch. Problem solved!

I put mine in the tractor or skid loader buckets to take them out, its only like 400' but I am 6'5" and the containers are too short... end up with a back ache if I walk them out.
