Tractor overheating

I would start with the most obvious things such as a clogged air filter or radiator screen/fins, fluid levels as well as condition of oil/coolant, fan belt, collapsed radiator hoses. And then move on to more complicated tests.

Does it overheat all the time or just when performing certain tasks? You could be asking the tractor to do more than it was designed to do. You may not be operating it in its optimum power RPM. Perhaps you're trying to do the work in too high a gear. Many things can cause a tractor to overheat which are not cooling system related.

Start by taking off the radiator cap once it has cooled off and make sure there is coolant in the radiator Then check the screen in front of the radiator. Clean if necessary.

As others already said. Back story on what you are doing and what you have done so far to prevent it. Is it boiling over? Is there a screen in front of the radiator to help prevent grass and debris from getting into the fins? Try blowing the radiator out with compressed air. Air is the better choice than washing it out. If is full of fine dirt you turn it into mud if you wash it out with water. Is the thermostat opening? They can fail although it's more common they fail in the open position. Check the radiator hose especially the top to make sure it's not collapsed. Are you seeing any external leaks? Specifically around the head? What is the condition and tightness of the fan belt? Is the water pump okay? Not leaking?

Found it, radiator was way down on coolant. Had a small leaks in a hose. Replaced and back on the road.

Exactly why I check all fluid levels before "each" usage!
