What do you guys think?

Will dealers soon be begging you to come buy and offer great deals on current inventory?

OR

Will dealers hold out for the better price being unsure when their inventory will be replenished?

I think we can agree the economy is getting ready to take a hard hit, just wondering if anyone is seeing it's affects so far concerning tractor sales.

Only time will tell wait a few weeks and see.....:2cents:

If this lasts a few weeks or a month or two, I hope that most can weather that storm. If that's the case, I do believe that the economy will bounce back well. If this drags on for longer than that, tractor deals will be the least of your worries.

I think it depends on what sector of the tractor market you are thinking about. IMHO, many sub-compact and a good proportion of compact tractors are a luxury (discretionary) purchase, so the impact and response will be similar to other luxury goods. The remaining compact and nearly all utility tractors are more non-discretionary, so the impact and response will be somewhat different.

I had the same thought as polarred21 going through my head as I'm in the market to replace my camper I sold in November.

The best time to buy is when things are on sale... if you are in a position to invest......I'm not a big believer in the stock market...but I think this is a opportunity that may not come by again any time soon. I can see the Dow at 20k in th next few days or weeks..and back at 30k in a few months.

Yep.

As their panic wears people will realize the out-breaks are pocketed, there will be a release of a lot of pent up market energy. This coupled with historic low-interest rates, watch out.

Hopefully one has the assets to get what one needs, when you need it. Find the best deal, worry about the chatter, later, if you must.

Market will take a hit everybody will lose. Realistically were looking at slow period from maybe 30 days perhaps to 60 days. That is a huge chunk of sales. Will it kill the big boys, no. Will the hourly workers get hit yes. I dont see companies giving things away, would make no sense for them to sell at this point unless they made money. Now they may start giving them away in order to keep their work force working, and consider it a write off. hard to say at this point.

Stock market is a long term game or marathon. Playing the quick wins and trying to strike it big is another story. Its a good tool if you play it like you should and are in it for the long term. Im young and got another 20 years to go, yeah my 401k is tanking but it will come back. Good part is i am buying shares at substantial discount. The silver lining and assuming the market comes back, ill make thousands because of this

Hard to say what's around the curve but I fear some dealers won't make it around the curve. :(

The economy is crashing as we speak. A cut is, for the most part, a discretionary expenditure. A lot of small, poorly capitalized dealerships will fold.

Maybe... but if they do, they will be the off brand, small dealers. The big boy names will be fine.

I'm just keeping my eyes open.

Wishing all the dealers the best in this crisis we are in and hope they can pull through.

They say we need to keep the money flowing...might be time to buy :2cents:
