Tractor Schematic for Maintenance

I've got a L4740 HST and was wondering if anyone has a tractor schematic or photos showing all of the grease fittings, filters, fill tubes and drain plugs to follow when doing maintenance. Sort of like a check list showing the location of each item. You could also put the filter part number, fluid type number and fluid volume. Sure would make doing the maintenance easier and ensure every item is taken care of. If I don't find one I will make my own.

Edit: Just curious. What does your owner's manual provide? I don't have your tractor, but the owner's manual for my one Kubota product (RTV 900) has text/diagrams that do a decent job of providing guidance on routine service.

Thanks for the quick response. Yes, the Messicks link is helpfull as well as the owners manual - just would like to have a short, direct and specific "check list" that would make it easier and ensure everything is done. I guess I'm just a "check-list" freak.

I'm becoming more fond of check-lists as I grow old and become even more absent-minded.

The manual for my RTV 900 has a useful table with the rows being the service items (e.g., change engine oil,etc.) and the columns being the service intervals (e.g., 50 hours, 100 hours, etc.). I checkoff each item as I complete the service.

I also wrote down the size of each fitting so that I don't have to fumble around trying to find the correct wrench when performing the service.

Ask your dealer for the "Workshop Manual" (WSM). My dealer provided me PDF copies when I bought my L3800HST (because I asked for it).

The L3800 WSM is 400 pages long...

What is in the workshop manual? Is it simular to the Helm's manuals {2}that used to be purchased for a GM auto? one of the pair included overhaul of assemblys. wonder if it is available on disc?

Zmjc, thanks, that was one fine looking repair manual, now, I know the one that I need to look for to my L3000dt tractor.It is compairable to the older Helms manuals. Jy

Part #9Y123-00110 is a maintance chart for the L4740. It runs about $15. It is a fold out laminated chart that shows grease points and service points at various intervals. Initially, the chart seems a bit "busy" but after looking at it for a moment, I think it would be just what you are looking for.
