I really need to get my little Yanmar YM1500 under cover, along with my scoop, box blade, lifting pole and trailer carrier. I've got a good 20X20 area just inside my fence to put up a shed to cover these and any additional implements I may buy in the future. The Yanmar is 4' by about 6' long. I'm thinking just a 3 sided structure to hide everything from preying eyes (open end towards my back door neighbor with a ton more room and stuff than I). What would you all recommend, 3 sided metal structure or wood pole barn? I have a full 30X40 garage/shop for the cars and everything that needs to be kept dry along with 2 small 10X15 enclosed sheds (with floors and doors) for existing lawn equipment. I am also thinking dirt floor and would like some shelves for fittings/chains/etc. that don't mind getting pollen/water mist on them from the open end of the shed.
I did some looking around here and it appears most have gone for full-blown enclosed pole barns, not the open-end type.
What is the conventional wisdom on this?
Thanks for your help!
