Buying Advice Tractor sizing advice, please.

I like the 3520 size tractor, but I don't take mine on to the lawn either. I made the mistake of a 5' rotary cutter which only taxes my tractor when cutting ant hills... Unless you are cutting old well maintained hay fields, its hard to go fast enough to make pto hp the limiting factor when bush hogging IME. I'd get a 6' cutter for it and cutting a few acres shouldn't take too long. This size of tractor can do some handy things like pulling cars out of ditches, or toss round bales around.

The 3520 is a much larger tractor compared to a sub-Compact. It will give you room to grow into, that's for sure.

You should also look into the LS XG3025 which would be about perfect for your situation. Larger frame, but 25HP motor and no Tier 4 emission parts to deal with. Guys in my area who are looking at subcompact size tractors are loving this machine. Feels more like a real tractor than the SCUTs for not much more money.
