Is the lumber kiln dried and if not how did you get a building permit?

No zoning in Waterville Vermont. No need for a building permit.

Years ago we wanted to pull a permit in But hole ME to do some wiring in my Buddy's farm house.Well they said just do what you want, See if you pull;l a permit then we have to go out and hire someone to inspect it, so just do everyone a favor and just do what you want. So we never bothered the building inspector again

Here in Chambers County Alabama we also don't need permits if we are outside of the city limits. Makes life easier by far!

Here is my workshop/barn I finished 6 months ago. Built it all myself except for the slab and roofing. Getting too old to like being that far up with nuttin' to hold onto!

It is 20 X 40 X 12 tall with 2 stories. Wired but no water. The link is to one of my web pages with a series of pictures showing construction.

I built my 30x50 fifteen years ago. Gonna add a 14ft addition down one side. Need more space. Give everyone a hint here, always build the biggest shop you can afford, then start saving money to add on.

As to the importance of my shop, if my house catches on fire, you'll find me spraying water on my shop!!!

Mudcat, you are gaining!! Is there another door?? Just curious why the building is so tall with such a short door??? What are you going to use it for?? Very satisfying work isn't it!!!
