Years ago we wanted to pull a permit in But hole ME to do some wiring in my Buddy's farm house.Well they said just do what you want, See if you pull;l a permit then we have to go out and hire someone to inspect it, so just do everyone a favor and just do what you want. So we never bothered the building inspector again

There is a man door on the east side of the building. I would love to have a taller door. I just couldn't pass up the deal on the one I got. It is 8'x17', picked it up for $300. Every thing I have will fit with room to spare. I will use the building as a shop for maint. and hobbies. Doing all the work yourself is satisfying.

I started to respond with some comments about heating the building, but then noticed you are in Florida. In Missouri we don't build any taller than needed to cut down on heating costs. In Florida you probably want the extra height to escape some of the roof heat.
