wish my shop or shed was as uncluttered as Holmstead's. I have more junk hanging on the walls than most people even have in their's. I still always have something spilling out the door. Later, Nat

I don't know how they do it, but Morton buildings are definitely the best looking of the Pole Barn types that I have saw. Great looking building that you are going to enjoy for many years. Now go clutter it up with "stuff". :)

The first four or five years in my shop, I could have everything off the floor and ready to power wash the concrete in about five minutes. Over time I have outgrown my shop and now it would take me an hour to move everything for a wash. And my walls are like yours Nat, covered with shelves and stuff. Gotta love it!!! :)

This is my storage garage 1 1/2 car filled with tractor and yard tools. The measure of a good storage building is the square footage and this one is tight with a short ceiling and door that requires the ROPS to be folded down.

Unlike a storage building the true measure of a shop is what gets built, fabricated, repaired, designed, modified, and finished! It's not the square footage. It's not the siding. It's not the tools. This shop has done more work on trucks, cars, tractors, trailers, furniture, canoes, mowers, custom trim, boats, bicycles, chain saws and every other thing you can think of. When you study the pictures you can see the history of the work performed in this shop for the last 30 years. No sterile open spaces. No spotlessly clean environment. Just a shop where work gets done!

Raddad,
You know that the man that dies with the most tools "wins"! I think you may have a good shot at winning.
It is great to see that there is someone else out there that has a shop that is as loaded as mine is. I do not have my tools and "supplies" organized yet so walking in my pole barn/shop is like walking through a mine field. Too many projects come up keeping me busy so the organizing keeps getting put on hold.

I park my tractor in the left side bay of our "carriage house". Downstairs is where most of the implements are stored. Can drive the tractor in and out downstairs, too.

Here are a couple of pics of 1) the carriage house to left of the house, 2) the rear of the carriage house in the upper part of the pic showing also rear of main house.

I had one of those cheap car ports installed. I had it closed in on all sides with a 9' foot door.
