Tractor Supply Boom Pole

The paint is unfortunate, but the misaligned holes are definitely going to impact performance. Looks like poor quality control. I would take it back and ask them to exchange it for another, then take the time to have a boo at the next one to see that the holes line up properly before you load it on the truck.

I don't blame you for being upset. I would be ticked off about that too.

Maybe to save $ they have a cyclops on their assembly line. :D

Having the top link pin at some small angle might change perception, but it won't affect performance.
Besides, ol' one eyed Joe has got kids to feed, too.
I didn't notice how crooked mine was until i got it home, unloaded it, and went to put the top link pin in it.
If I had seen the misalignment at the store, I never would have bought it.
Now that I have thoroughly abused it for several years with no ill consequences, it just doesn't bother me.
I could cut it off and weld it back on in about ten minutes, but I've got more important things to worry about.
Like we still haven't planted the corn ... I guess we're buying from the guy up the street. Again.

I use the boom from my auger all the time. However since it doesn't have aux supports you have to be a bit more careful. I do ust it for dragging 20 foot trees without a problem. Nothing better than getting a multipurpose attachment if it will adequately do the job

I have a cheap TSC back blade but it works for me!!!!!!!!! Anyway the bolt that connects the blade on the swivel is easly removed, so I took it out and welded a hook to the beam. I don't get much lift with it but it beats making repeated cuts to get a log out where it can be processed. also my top link holes are not even, but it is amazing, how the top link swivel makes up the difference and if that didn't the top link could be turned because the threads are nice and free turning.

Anyone have a recommendation for a 3pt HD boom pole available online? ETA has a model that is listed at 2200lbs, but I don't know if they stock them anymore. Also they have a KK one that is listed as 2000lb.

It would be used on an l5460 and I would want it pretty darn stout and preferably cat II although I have no idea what the 3pt will lift with that long of arm. Maybe 600 lbs safely? Don't want to damage the 3 pt hitch....

Seems like it would be so handy.

My 500# TSC model will put the L3240 into bypass.
I have been using/abusing it for 6 years.
Probably time to bust out the welder and convert it to an HD model.
Used it to twitch some logs out of a stream valley last weekend.
TnT + Boom Pole = some really helpful motions for moving a log around.

Might wanna check out this outfit see if they still have any, C.H.E. INC: New & Used, Retail & Wholesale Farm Equipment

Heres mine its a World Agritech Comp model cat 1 or 2 . Pretty stout, did not buy mine from outfit recommended. The WAC was also referd to as IC (International) . Nothing to do with International Harv.
Paid $150/$160 OTD for mine w/pins. There same folks that made those older red bushhogs that theres a lot still around which were a lot of bang for the buck.

I looked at the TSC boom poles at my local store yesterday. It looks pretty beefy. Made by TARTER. two top link holes. Two load loops. It's NOT the one shown on line. And at $129 ... it came home with me. IDK how it works at other stores but I went in the yard and picked out the one I wanted.

I bought a king kutter also good quality.
I got the King Kutter pole used with my JD 1070. None of the yellow KK stuff has good paint on it but the pole itself has been good. I've overloaded it and it's worked well.
